Normally we arrive in Indian Wells on the Thursday or Friday before the first weekend. Saturday is packed full of matches and, of course, there were a number of great ones today. We were forced to follow them on my phone with very slow updates. This led to many moments in the car when Jackie and I were waiting to see who won the next point as it might determine the match. We "watched" James Blake pull out his win only to face Andy Roddick on Sunday. Of course we followed Rainer Schuettler, Jackie's favorite pro, as he lost to Gilles Simon. The most exciting match that we missed seemed to be Donald Young pulling out a big upset to Andy Murray. I am not much of a fan of Mr. Murray's so we were both excited to see a young American pull off the big upset.
Tomorrow we finally get to see some live tennis. I promise pics and videos as the day unfolds.
